Why is ZuZu such a great choice?

"Barefoot" style footwear has one goal - to allow your feet to function and move as freely and naturally as possible. ZuZu sandals are designed just for that. With a wide toe box letting your toes spread as they should, a thin, zero-drop, and super flexible sole that lets your feet do their magic, ZuZu sandals meet all criteria while allowing your feet to move naturally - as they should!

What makes your sandals "Barefoot sandals"?

Why do you use tires as your sole material?

Excellent question!

Out of three main reasons:

1. A genuine desire to improve where possible. From an environmental point of view, using and reviving a highly durable material that is otherwise garbage, is the best way to minimize unnecessary pollution and energy waste.

2. Quality, quality, and once again quality. It's not easy for us to explain in just a few words how complex and superior a car tire's rubber is in comparison to other materials in the footwear industry. Contact us if it interests you, and we will be happy to tell you more about it.

3. Performance. The tire grip easily outperformed any other sole we tried, and it hardly wears out over time.

To summarize things up, although recycled tires are pricier than any other sole material we could use, we believe it is superior to other materials and makes a real difference!

Is the thong-style strap comfortable?

Even though it might take a short while to get used to, it's extremely hard to go back to any other type of sandals once you did. The toe strap holds your foot from sliding forward while letting your toes spread freely and naturally.

Do you have vegan friendly sandals?

Sure thing! ZuZu Flow and all of our performance straps are 100% vegan.

How do I replace and adjust my straps?

How do I keep my ZuZu sandals nice and clean?

To best maintain the elasticity of both straps and footbeds, avoid leaving your sandals under direct sunlight or near a heat source for a long time. It can dry out and impair the flexibility of the footbed and the durability of the straps.

Periodic cleaning with water, soap, and a brush will keep the sandal flexible and well-groomed. Do not dry the sandal under direct sunlight.

A bad smell develops due to the accumulation of bacteria and sweat on the footbed. The best way to prevent an unpleasant odor is to clean your sandals periodically. If your sandals get some unpleasant odor that won't go away using soap and water, simply rub some baking soda on the footbed and let it rest overnight. When morning comes, rinse and return to regular use.

For how long will my sandals last?

We make ZuZu Sandals out of upcycled car tires. In reasonable use, the sole is designed to withstand thousands of kilometers, just like a car tire and even more (we do not weigh a ton or move at 100 km/h).

The lifespan of the straps varies from person to person and depends on the person's stride, activity, and the type of straps chosen (leather or performance).

All ZuZu sandals are assembled with our performance straps that are designed for intense use, such as running, hiking, or any outdoor adventure.

While our leather straps are ideal for everyday use, please understand that leather is a natural material, and therefore extended usage under conditions of heat, dampness, and intense use such as running and trekking may cause accelerated wear and tear. Be sure to replace back to your performance straps before going on your next adventure.
It takes just over a couple of minutes to replace the straps and once done, your sandals will get a fresh look!

Is there a warranty?

Does running on upcycled car tires makes sense? Of course there is!

All ZuZu Sandals feature our 10,000 km tire sole warranty which covers ANY abrasion of the bottom tire sole of the sandals, as long as it happens during regular use.
Long lasting, suberb ground traction is what these tires were made for and they will continue to do so under your feet.

We are making ZuZu with the finest materials so that your sandals will serve you for years to come. However, manufacturing defects may happen in parts such as gluing, buckles, lace plugs, and sewing. Our general warranty covers any defect in any of the components of the sandals for 6-months from placing an order. Any claims beyond that period will be taken care of by our customer service.

Can I actually go for a run in ZuZu Sandals?

Sure thing, our performance straps are made for that!

From chasing the bus, through morning runs, to trail marathons, we've done and still do it all in ZuZu sandals.

If you've got the leather straps on, running is not recommended due to accelerated wear and tear.
Be sure to replace back to your performance straps before going on wild adventures.

What type of straps are best for outdoor activities?

Durable and soft, our performance straps are designed to last and are the best choice for every outdoor activity. If running and hiking a lot is in your nature, these are your go-to.

You can also hike or run with our leather straps even though it is less recommended. The continuous stretch and tension may shorten their lifespan in this type of use.

Our leather straps are a bit more stretchy and therefore excellent in daily use, where you take your sandals off and on more often.

Can I get in the water with ZuZu Sandals?

Of course you can! And you should ;)

All of our sandals and straps are water-frienly and dry super fast!

What's the right size for me?

Although ZuZu Sandals runs true to size in most cases, we highly recommend checking our size guide and printing out the sizing page.
This way you will be 100% sure that you're getting a perfect fit!

Shipping & Returns

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! and we have Free shipping for orders above 90$.

Please note that some countries require the payment of additional customs, import duties, and taxes. These costs are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the cost of shipping. 

Our estimated delivery times are between 7 and 15 business days.
Prices vary based on destination and order value.

AU & NZ: Free - 22$

How long does it take until I get my ZuZu?

Once you place an order, we will process it and get it on the go in 1-3 days.
The estimated shipping time will be displayed at checkout and it will vary based on the selected shipping address.

In average, shipping times are:

US: 6-13 business days
EU: 5-12 business days
AU: 8-15 business days

Will I have to pay extra for customs and local taxes?

Some countries require the payment of customs, import duties, taxes, etc. These additional costs are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the cost of shipping. 
We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for the payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

Where do you ship from?

We're proudly crafting ZuZu Sandals in both Israel and Portugal. We ship all orders from Israel, where the final packaging and quality assurance takes place.

I've ordered the wrong size, what's the exchange policy?

We strongly recommend that you follow our size guide to ensure a perfect fit and avoid the hassle and costs of exchange.
If needed, we will be happy to help you with an exchange on sandals for up to 30 days after you have received them. The sandals must be in a brand new, resellable condition and in their original packaging (please try on indoors only). All shipping costs of exchanges will be covered by the customer.

Orders

How can I cancel my order?

Canceling your order is easy. Simply contact our support team by Email and your order will be refunded in 1-3 business days.

If we already dispatched your shipment by the time you asked for cancelation, unfortunately, we will have to deduct all shipping costs from your refund.

How can I add or remove items from my order?

To make changes to your order details, contact us ASAP by Email or chat. We will be happy to assist with any changes while the shipment is still in our hands. 

While processing your request, we will contact you regarding any necessary refunds or additional charges.

Is there a special discount for large orders?

Can I pay in other currencies other than USD?

To improve your purchasing experience, we may display our product prices based on your local currency. However, the final price will be displayed in USD at checkout. If you can not pay in USD for your reasons, our team will be happy to assist.
